This is it, the long overdued The 1975 post that should have gone up on this place 6 months ago, but wasn't because I was probably too busy to do so.
Here's me sharing the most beautiful and majestic night of my life with y'all.

I remember, it was a Wednesday, and a few days before, I was actually contemplating on giving school a miss so that I could wake up early and go to Sentosa to queue but I ended up having to stash that plan cause there was some important chemistry thing on that day. But I did skip the extra Econs lesson to meet Hasbi at Harbourfront at around 5 plus.(thanks so much for agreeing to go with me!!!)
We bought macs for dinner before we hurried our asses to Sentosa. By the time we've reached The Coliseum, it was almost 6pm and the queue was crazy long outside the Hard Rock Cafe, and I felt so sad because there went my chances of being anywhere near the band ):
We joined the queue and ended up waiting for 2 hours before the gates were opened. So we just ended up chatting and I also revised a little of electrochem thanks to Ms Chong's quickcheck the next day. Ate at around 7 plus when Hasbi could break fast and I was just feeling so so so stoked.
Once the barricades were removed, we were quickly tagged on our hands with some ID tag before we finally entered the venue. And the entire place was shaking because house music was booming through the speakers. Stood up facing the stage for over an hour while waiting for The 1975 to appear, and man, we couldn't even breathe because it was SO CROWDED. There were even people fainting before the band made their opening. AND IT WAS SO HOT, but the thought of getting to see them just made those conditions a thousand times more bearable. I was literally facing my head up to the ceiling just to get a wee-bit more oxygen(that's how bad it was).
We were sandwiched between these three FREAKING TALL Filipino dudes while there was this Aussie teen behind me that kept pushing me forward throughout the concert by using her chest, which was really irritating but I forgive her, who wouldn't want to have a closer view of them??!!?
And then there was this crazy enthu group behind us consisting of 2 girls and 3 guys that kept spouting lots of crazy random shit throughout that kept Hasbi and I laughing like mad before and during the concert hahaha.
Fucckkckckckk everyone just went crazy when they appeared!!@!@$!@$5 I was screaming at the top of my lungs, but my exclamations were drowned in a sea of squeals and yells. In my head, the thoughts that kept popping up were "Is this real???", "are they really in front of me????", "is that really matty, george, adam, ross and waughy?????!??!"
It was like a dream, everything felt so surreal, as if my feet ain't on the ground.
Matty and George took off their shirts and after announcing how hot it was!(Healy even poured water over his head)
This was how far we were from the stage sigh... but it's ok, I felt so near to them spiritually ;)
Before Head.Cars.Bending and the crazy random people behind us were begging Matty for water HAHAHAHA I was laughing discreetly like mad
In between songs still got time take selfies
they were SO GOOD live, and Matty was just woah, charisma game stronk. He was even smoking and drinking wine from the bottle while singing ahhhhhhhh plus he was topless.
I know I must sound like some crazy fan girl that is obsessed over them or something but that's not really true, they really dish out incredible music, like what MTV said recently, "The 1975’s music is like a movie for your ears.” And that's really apt, it's hard to find a band these days that makes tunes with such soul and emotions. Their songs are littered with euphemisms that require you to decode and the lyrics are absolutely thought-provoking and meaningful. PLUS THEY WON "MOST HARDWORKING BAND OF THE YEAR" IN 2014.

The best part was when "Me" was on, I'd never forget that moment, Matty asked us to "Put your fucking phones away" and chuckled, and said, "The only time you've seen us, ever, is on a screen, do not watch this song on a screen.... This song is about me". Ohhhhhhhh I don't even know how to describe it but it was so beautiful and I teared throughout the song because it was so impactful.
At the bridge of "Me", we were asked to raise our phones up with the torchlight functions on and just sway along. I'd do anything to relive that moment.
Look how amazing the lights look in the dark :')
At the end, we were all chanting "WE WANT SEX" and yup, Sex was the last song that ended the night.
Thank you so much The 1975.
