Operation Fragrant Harbour
Day 6
Started the morning with breakfast at the roasted pork place again :) But I ate wanton mee this time around, gosh the wantons were a tad bit too salty but all else was great.
Sat on a tram and then we took a bus to get to the Hongkong Ferry Terminal.
Tired faces.
Macau bound
City of dreams
Wanted to go in but we were short of 2 years argh, and it was too risky to enter illegally cause we'd be fined MOP/HKD$10000
Yea basically Macau is just a gambler's haven
Inside The Venetian.
Really gorgeous.
Lord Stow's Bakery, the original bakery that has been selling authentic Portuguese egg tarts since goodness when.
Their iconic flaky egg tart pastries and creamy, smooth egg custard fillings are TO DIE FOR.
This egg tart right here is just screaming "BITE ME, BITE ME, PUT ME IN BETWEEN THE JAWS OF YOUR MOUTH AND SAVOUR ME."
It was so good that after we each ate a tart, we ordered 12 more egg tarts and polished them right on the spot.(blame the overconsumption of egg tarts for my sorethroat the very next day but it was totally worth it!!!)
Too bad cannot ta bao the egg tarts(they'll turn soggy in a couple of hours) if not I'll definitely buy ten boxes back to Singapore.
The cafe had a warm ambiance too, we were enjoying the tarts and listening to an Italian-looking dude singing a foreign tune while giving tourists a ride on a Gondola.
The entire place seems as if it has the word "Fancy" painted all over it.
Another casino.
Not sure what's going on but we waved at her and she waved back aww :)
The famous Grand Lisboa
On our way to conquer the streets of Macau. It still retains many of its Portuguese street signs as well as architecture.
No offence intended but the Christmas decorations are so cringe-worthy, kind of cheapens and overshadows the pretty Portuguese buildings in the backdrop.
Entered a random cathedral
Do you see it in the distance?
Bae gave her flowers
The Ruins of St Paul
A fire that broke out more than a century ago grazed the cathedral to the ground, leaving behind only the front structure.
The view from the top
Photoception
Lunch was pork burgers with taro milk tea! Really good but the only downside was that the pork had bones in it
Dessert was milk pudding!
Food bloggers all over the net have raved about this particular bowl of dessert but frankly, it tasted "meh" to me, there's simply no wow factor.
Back to Hongkong
Ate at Australia Dairy Company for dinner. If you're planning a trip to HK, eating here is a must!!!! The food was so good!!!! It's the king and epitome of all the cha chaan tengs in Hongkong!
But be warned, the service there was TERRIBLE. We were greeted with a rude shock when we tried to order, the guy taking our order was really fierce, and being very hostile and all. Not to mention some other weird dude working at the restaurant tried to snatch Lihser's phone out of her hands multiple times for goodness know what reason.
Then when we were halfway through with eating, the same waiter that took our order was telling Zhenyang to eat the macaroni first before the toast in Cantonese in an unfriendly tone. WTF we were so scared that we ate at the speed of light man, shoving all the food into our mouths.
Such a pity, good food but we weren't able to enjoy it properly.
Left promptly and decided to head to Temple Street.
It's just another tourist hot spot selling various knick knacks(including kinky sex toys, we walked past more than ten street stalls selling only moulds of male genitalia and other sex memorabilia that got us giggling away like immature kids HAHA)
After a freaking long day, we finally made our way back to our crib.
Last night in HK man, and we were feeling all sad and shitty.
Late night shenanigans
too exhausted to join in our nonsense
Not flashing hor, I got wear shirt inside
We're bringing sexy back hahahaha
2fab4u
HAHAh definitely lost our minds
Whiskers' trademark "fk you" sign
ahahahahah not to mention we made loads of noise.
Day 7
The final day was officially our last minute chiong shopping day.
Rushed to Sogo(equivalent to Singapore's Takashimaya) early in the morning to get our lou po bengs(wife's cake) from Hang Heung Cake Shop(gotta thank Mrs Chan for introducing me to such a wonderful delight 3 years earlier) and also stocked up on pineapple tarts from Kee Wah Bakery.
Then went to Sasa and LUSH and bought lots of soap, mainly as gifts before we had to head back to the hotel to check out.
It was mad crazy, we had to drag our heavy luggage(now filled with a week's worth of shopping) across the busy streets of Hongkong and even had to lift them down the staircases leading to the MTR.
Took the airport transfer train to HKIA to catch our afternoon flight.
Ok did I mention that the shopping we did in the morning was last minute? Just kidding, the true last minute shopping we did was at the airport HAHAHAH went crazy raiding the duty free stores and the strategically-placed Disneyland shop in the departure hall area.
Love these guys!!!!
Before embarking the plane, sitting on the floor of the airport... like hobos once again HAHAHA
walao keep blocking my view
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh thank you to all five of you, couldn't have chosen to go on this trip with anyone else, such a lively bunch, mmm goi sai(thank you in Canto) for the memories!!! I love you all and here's to hoping there's a round 2 heheehehehhe ;)
