We rested for barely 2-3 hours before we had to awaken to catch our ride on TW's High Speed Rail. Our plan was to get to Cingjing Farm to see white fluffy sheep and revel in the fresh, mountainous air, cause my 二姐 told me it was definitely worth visiting (and yes, she was right).
But before that, we went to grab some grub from the convenience store. I'm just fascinated with convenience stores that are from overseas?? There's just something so magnetising about them, whether it's a FamilyMart in Japan or a CircleK in HK.
Our ticket to 台中, Taichung.
“Like you're riding a train at night across some vast plain, and you catch a glimpse of a tiny light in a window of a farmhouse. In an instant it's sucked back into the darkness behind and vanishes. But if you close your eyes, that point of light stays with you, just barely for a few moments.”
The pasta was "meh" cause it was way too salty but the milk tea was good.
After reaching Taichung, we hopped on a cab to get to 清境, which was way up in the mountains, and the ride costed NTD800 for 2 people?? Not sure if we were getting scammed but we were pretty tired and settled for it.
Checked into our 民宿 accommodation, which is basically like a guesthouse.
The view was sickkkkkk, I could just spend the entire day looking down at the clouds and greenery.
Spent quite a fair bit of time playing with this pair of peacocks huehuehue
清境農場
HOLY SHEEP?!
It seemed as though I'd stepped onto the set of The Sound of Music.
Some random horse-riding performance featuring Mongolian horseback riders and horses (well of course). Not sure if I was feeling amused or in shock. Each time the riders used the horsewhip to crack the bums of the horses, I just felt like something in me was dying?? Honestly, I was cringing all the way, not sure if what I was witnessing was some sort of twisted performance featuring a heavy dose of animal abuse or something, ugh.
But guess who I met in Taiwan??? Rachel from TP haha. TW is such a small world, cause the previous night I'd bumped into Nic, Sean and Ryan at Ximending too??
This lil girl was such a boss ass bij though :')
They do stink though, but stroking their off-white coat of wool really does therapeutic wonders ;')
Take me back!! The weather was so good.
#cheapthrills x #sheepthrills
Smiling sheepishly
Ewe are so amazing!!
Sheep milk ice-cream?? I can only understand the 2nd, 4th & 5th Chinese word *inserts thinking emoji*
ur mum's milk tastes so gud ;) haahaahhaahhahhh
Wild boar meat was really appetising
Bamboo rice
Beef noodles, but this time around, it's with a clear broth
Went on a road trip with 4 Taiwanese and 2 Singaporeans to spot fireflies in the dusk
My camera's battery was flat so I had to take shots with my iPhone. The white specks are the fireflies, they look ordinary in picture, but I swear, they were so mesmerising in reality.
Decided to visit the hot springs up in the mountain so we hurriedly bought sets of swimwear from Ximending the night before HAHA
The water was SO HOT??????? My skin just turned red after soaking for awhile
The cute Taiwanese aunty took drinks for us and told us that we had to drink more to hydrate ourselves, aww what a cutie??
I was probably praying for my GPA...
Our guide dropped us off at the convenience store so that we could grab some late-night supper
gougou wo ai ni
Got the exact same instant noodles that Chishuen, Nic, Caro and I ate together in our hotel room in HK 3 years ago!! Hehehe, dem feels though.
