What if December was just a drunken blur and a separate from reality.
I'm trying to convince myself it isn't real, and every act of stupidity that I've engaged in is negligible.
How can this actually make me question who am I exactly?

See you in the Western sky, on the best of nights...out in the dark
Sometimes, the act of doing something is more addictive than the thing itself.
Sometimes, the void is better left untouched rather than being filled.

It's obvious that I'm crawling on my knees, the cardinal sins that you take from me
I'll be better, I promise.
Really, I feel as if the onset of December is just paving the way for a better and improved me.
R.I.P. to the really stupid and ignorant old Mel.
I'll be more grateful for even the slightest things that I used to take for granted, I'll worry less, I'll listen more and talk less...
It's probably high time for this to happen.

and you give yourself away
It's the day after that feels the worse, it's the acid churning in your stomach that makes you wanna puke, it's the guilt of the night that haunts you, it's the fumes embedded in your hair that linger hours after you've inhaled, it's the ringing sensation in your ears that causes you to lose your sense of sound for awhile, it's the dryness in your jaws that begs for more water,
but, it's always the adrenaline that gets you back for more.

Lonely eyes and a "save me" smile, I know I could die tonight
I don't know what I'm doing with my life.
I just want this to end.
Finals never fail to throw me into melancholy and despondency.

don't just dream in your sleep, it's just lazy
There's a certain kind of weirdness in people that makes them so attractive.
I don't know why people frown upon weirdness, isn't it a factor that separates somebody else from the rest?
Not weird in a psychotic manner, but small, cute yet peculiar gestures that amuse humans.
I think we need to embrace it.

What goes up, ghost around
I don't think I've ever been so frazzled/confused/helpless/nonplussed/lost in my life.
If only making a decision in this matter was as simple as choosing whether I want Sausage Egg McMuffin or Hotcakes from McD's breakfast menu.
Not that the latter is a simple decision anyway.
But I'd rather be choosing what to have for breakfast a thousand times over than having to deal with this matter which I'm so conflicted over.

And I want life in every word, to the extent that it's absurd
Taiwan Day 3
We rested for barely 2-3 hours before we had to awaken to catch our ride on TW's High Speed Rail. Our plan was to get to Cingjing Farm to see white fluffy sheep and revel in the fresh, mountainous air, cause my 二姐 told me it was definitely worth visiting (and yes, she was right).
But before that, we went to grab some grub from the convenience store. I'm just fascinated with convenience stores that are from overseas?? There's just something so magnetising about them, whether it's a FamilyMart in Japan or a CircleK in HK.
Our ticket to 台中, Taichung.
The pasta was "meh" cause it was way too salty but the milk tea was good.
After reaching Taichung, we hopped on a cab to get to 清境, which was way up in the mountains, and the ride costed NTD800 for 2 people?? Not sure if we were getting scammed but we were pretty tired and settled for it.
Checked into our 民宿 accommodation, which is basically like a guesthouse.
The view was sickkkkkk, I could just spend the entire day looking down at the clouds and greenery.
Spent quite a fair bit of time playing with this pair of peacocks huehuehue
清境農場
HOLY SHEEP?!
It seemed as though I'd stepped onto the set of The Sound of Music.
Some random horse-riding performance featuring Mongolian horseback riders and horses (well of course). Not sure if I was feeling amused or in shock. Each time the riders used the horsewhip to crack the bums of the horses, I just felt like something in me was dying?? Honestly, I was cringing all the way, not sure if what I was witnessing was some sort of twisted performance featuring a heavy dose of animal abuse or something, ugh.
But guess who I met in Taiwan??? Rachel from TP haha. TW is such a small world, cause the previous night I'd bumped into Nic, Sean and Ryan at Ximending too??
This lil girl was such a boss ass bij though :')
They do stink though, but stroking their off-white coat of wool really does therapeutic wonders ;')
Take me back!! The weather was so good.
#cheapthrills x #sheepthrills
Smiling sheepishly
Ewe are so amazing!!
Sheep milk ice-cream?? I can only understand the 2nd, 4th & 5th Chinese word *inserts thinking emoji*
ur mum's milk tastes so gud ;) haahaahhaahhahhh
Wild boar meat was really appetising
Bamboo rice
Beef noodles, but this time around, it's with a clear broth
Went on a road trip with 4 Taiwanese and 2 Singaporeans to spot fireflies in the dusk
My camera's battery was flat so I had to take shots with my iPhone. The white specks are the fireflies, they look ordinary in picture, but I swear, they were so mesmerising in reality.
Decided to visit the hot springs up in the mountain so we hurriedly bought sets of swimwear from Ximending the night before HAHA
The water was SO HOT??????? My skin just turned red after soaking for awhile
The cute Taiwanese aunty took drinks for us and told us that we had to drink more to hydrate ourselves, aww what a cutie??
I was probably praying for my GPA...
Our guide dropped us off at the convenience store so that we could grab some late-night supper
gougou wo ai ni
Got the exact same instant noodles that Chishuen, Nic, Caro and I ate together in our hotel room in HK 3 years ago!! Hehehe, dem feels though.

“Like you're riding a train at night across some vast plain, and you catch a glimpse of a tiny light in a window of a farmhouse. In an instant it's sucked back into the darkness behind and vanishes. But if you close your eyes, that point of light stays with you, just barely for a few moments.”

If finders were keepers, I’d still be at home
We want things we can never have, spend more money than we can ever afford, fall in love with the people we can never be with.
Our obsessive compulsion with the impossible and the unattainable, that just makes us human.
We just won't quit it till we get it. Even if we do know the outcome - we'll never get it.

Taiwan Day 2
As aforementioned, this was a really impromptu trip so we were literally planning our itinerary on the metro and what not, so thank goodness for unlimited 3G??
We decided it would be a museum/cultural immersion kind of day, so our first destination was the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. CKS was the ex-President of the Kuomingtang and the national monument was erected in memory of him.
Loving the old China vibes being radiated from the National Theater and Concert Hall :-)
自由广场, Liberty Square
中正紀念堂, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall
Oh deer!
可爱啊
This right here is the best bowl of 红烧牛肉面 I've ever eaten.
We were just walking around before we chanced upon the famous Smoothie House by accident.
It started pouring like mad after this photo was taken, so we decided to use the underpass and explore this old shopping district that's fully sheltered and air-conditioned.
Ate cheap sushi in the metro, because the hobo life never ends.
Got our 珍珠奶茶 fix
It was posing for me, aww.
二二八和平纪念公园, 228 Peace Park
Taiwan, you're so pretty.
Headed to Ximending in the evening
Can I say this? 西门町 looks just like a miniature Harajuku.
I love this graffiti art so, so much
火锅
UGH, then my ice-cream had to drop
阿宗麵線, Ah Zhong Mee Sua!!!
臨江夜市
There's dogs everywhere ahhhhhh I love Taiwan???
Supper was deep-fried chicken and shrooms and beer with these scrubs :-)
