Operation Fragrant Harbour
Day 3
HahahAHAHAHhhaAHahAhhaHAhAhAhahAHaahah I'm so excited as I'm typing this!!!!! DAY 3 WAS FREAKING OCEAN PARK :)))))
Breakfast was the most amazing(not exaggerating) char siew rice I've eaten ever in my whole 18 years of life.
In SG, when you order a plate of char siew rice or even wanton mee, you'd expect to see bright red, thin slices of pork meat, but the ones we ate in HK were genuine, thick, juicy slices of pork meat with a dull reddish-brown colour(indicating that no artificial dye has been used).
Looks simple, but this baby packs a punch, one bite and your taste buds are on their way to heavenly food nirvana!!!
Ohhh, I love trams! It's as if trains and buses had sex and produced little babies called trams, but better! We rode the tram almost every day hehe.
Overexposed, cause the sun was too bright ):
While waiting for the Ocean Express
We went on a Saturday morning and the entire place was brimming with people, so we decided to sit on all of the scary rides first instead of looking at aquariums and animals.
The first ride we sat on was The Flash, HAHAHAHA omg what can I say, we started the day with a crazyass ride.
So basically, this ride consists of a vertical axis that goes 360 degrees...THREE times and while you're being swung around, the circular part of the ride spins too.
HAHAHA at this point of the ride, all the obscenities just started flowing freely out of our mouths.
Next ride was Whirly Bird, you're just spinning around while you're elevated from the ground, and you can control the wings too :)
We tried to sing the school song on this ride but after the first few verses, it failed terribly cause I guess the ride was spinning too fast so you can't really hear the singing HAHAHAH
Next up, went into this icy looking place that said the waiting time was only 5 mins, so we went in, thinking it was some kind of a ride but it just turns out to be a fishy(literally) penguin enclosure.
Ain't this plump fellow a qt? : )
You know you're in deep shit when you see clowns.
The newest addition to the park is the Hair Raiser, and yes, IT DID RAISE OUR HAIR, ALONG WITH OUR HEART RATES.
I've got to admit, this has got to be the most thrilling coaster I've ever been on, even scarier than the ones at USS and Universal Studios Japan.
Yea well Ocean Park is actually built on a mountain, and this ride is already friggin tall so combine built on a mountain + being tall on its own = this insane ride which overlooks the sea and gigantic buildings that look tiny on the ride.
All of us were like, "fuck. fuck. fuckfuckfuckfuckFUCKKKKKK AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" as the coaster was brought up the chain lift hill slowly before descending like mad in a flash.
Everything happened so quickly, before you can scream when you've reached a drop, you're suddenly up again so nothing comes out from your mouth hahaha.
Who needs towels man?! Bathe finish already then sit on this ride, guaranteed you're dry as a bone at the end of it.
Sat on the Mine Train next, SUPERB VIEW MAN, could see a bird's eye view of beautiful Hongkong on the roller coaster before we were plunging towards the Earth and yelling at the top of our lungs. Heheheheh awesome experience, we were shouting chemistry stuff instead of crude words on the ride. Calcium carbonate!!!! Hydrochloric acid!!!! etc. Ms Chong would be so proud of us :')
On our second water ride, no pics of the first one ):
Guess how much this costs....SGD$18
"Hey kids, don't do drugs!"
With the right amount of editing, this picture has the potential to be a hit on tumblr ;)
didn't sit on the donut thing(kind of regret, sigh) but that one seriously can puke man!!! Ended up wasting SGD$50 on carnival games and we wound up winning only a small soft toy, DAMN IT, they always make it seem so easy to win the games but according to my stats calculations hmmmmmmm, the probability of winning a game is like 1 over 100 factorial
Sat on The Dragon thrice cause it was already evening time and the queue for the coaster was relatively short, so yeah :)
Fun but not as thrilling as The Mine Train and Hair Raiser.
Caught parts of the sunset while in the queue : )
Before we could catch any of the shows or visit the animal enclosures, it was already dark. But it's ok man, ain't really into that type of stuff anyway.
lookin' trippy as heck.
HEY LOOK, it's Kai Kai and Jia Jia and Ah Meng the orangutan!!!
Bye Whiskers, seeya soon!
Dinner was at Lan Kwai Fong!!!!!
The legendary wanton mee from Mak's Noodle. Dayuuum son, those wantons were so good.
