I got that sunshine in my pocket, got that good soul in my feet
Sigh, thought I would be able to blog about my Taiwan trip but this is obviously gonna take longer than expected because of how busy I am these days...with work.
This week has been exceptionally hard for me, because I was scheduled to work 6 out of 7 days, and I had trial camp last Sat & Sun, so I was already sapped on Monday, with a terrible sunburn, lack of sleep and sore muscles.
I mean the people at work are really nice, but the second blow came when I found out two of them were quitting ): Sigh it really sucks, especially when I've started to get used to having them around. And I could actually click really well with one of them (she's apparently my senior since she was from EPPS, and she lives one block away from me!!!).
The people that I work with are roughly the same age, ranging from 25 to 28 years old, but there's this obvious generation gap between me and the rest of them (that's why it sucks to be the only intern). Their conversations revolve around marriage, plays, musicals, really obscure indie music (I FREAKING LOVE INDIE BTW, just that I tend to listen to more indie pop and rock rather than country or folk), which just...seems foreign to me. I mean, those stuff are things my eldest sister loves, which makes sense since she's super old (28).
Yeah I probably stick out like a sore thumb but I can't really be bothered to try to fit in, work is work, and I'm just here to finish my internship and say ciao. Of course, forming friendships are important too, but it's secondary. I think I'm getting older HAH, starting to care a little less about conforming to the standards and ideals of others but rather trying to do what pleases me.
Anyway, summer has been great if I subtract internship from the equation.

Went for dinner at "I am" at Haji Lane with Hasbi cause he was starting NS soon. Aiyo, all grown up already ah.
The food was really GOOD, especially the patty for the Juicy Beef Burger, I think it tasted even better than the one at Fat Boy's.

KTV with Magnus...terrible idea cause they kept choosing Chinese songs HAHAHAH, then Rae and I would just look at each other and go, "what song is this sia??"
But it was still fun la, had lunch at NamNam @ Plaza Sing & dinz at Astons somewhere along Katong.

Went out with Nadzzzzz bae heheh haven't seen her in a few months and she's still as crazy as ever.
Had assam laksa at Gurney Drive (no pics cause I probably snapchatted it in video mode) and it was buay pai but we couldn't believe they charged us extra for the seemingly complimentary keropok that they placed on our table after we were seated. It tasted shitty as well HAHA.
We spent the day groping balloons gahaha
Can't believe I've known this gila girl since Pri 1 awwwwwwwwww. Aku cinta kau, monyet kena belachan???

Random lunch sesh with Lexy cause her bosses always pangseh her (haha n00b)
But anyway, I feel really bad cause she always has to meet me at like 2 plus instead of the normal lunch hour of 12pm or 1pm cause...the company I work in doesn't have a fixed lunch period (sucks to be me, yes) and basically lunch only happens whenever the courier or clients are not coming. So I always have to text her the moment my bosses announce it's time for lunch hahah sorry babe.

Everything with Fries with Rae and Maxine cause it was my off day (YIPPEE)!
It was Watermelon Club day, so that explains the meet-up. I cannot omg every time I'm with this bunch, I would reach my limit, it's so exhausting to be with them hahahaha.
Anyway, after lunch, I had to rush from Bugis to Tampines to meet up with classmates for a very random tennis session.
Verdict: I can't play tennis even if my life depended upon it HAHA, but Mark and Rach were like pros??
After playing for about 2 hours, went to bathe at the condo's clubhouse toilet before I had to rush back to town to meet the same group of people earlier plus Alexia for dinner (what am I doing with my life, right?!!).
As you can see, this photo was taken with a pre-historic camera used by cavemen in the Stone Age..
Such a chore to be with y'all HAHAHA

This was the amount of shit that I had packed for a 2D1N camp, and I was merely following the packing list.
Instead of setting up the game stations... HAHAH

I think she's the only person in the office who I can have a genuine conversation with, without worrying about filtering out the details or toning stuff down. Ahhh, I really wish her all the best at her new workplace :')

Met up with Rae (yes, AGAIN) after work just to shop for clothes for the photoshoot. Man, I think we really died, like we spent 3 hours running from H&M to F21 to Cottonon and back and forth just to find a suitable outfit.
I died HAHA

Had our OG photoshoot at the Punggol Lalang field. But it was really weird cause I couldn't see any lalang grass at all hahahaha

Just eating some tasty greens like what normal giraffes do when these two tribeswomen snuck up on me, trying to spear me???
