Every year can't wait for Christmas day. Wake me up, I finally figured out What Christmas is all about

Christ·mas noun, often attributive \ˈkris-məs\

: a Christian holiday that is celebrated on December 25 in honor of the birth of Jesus Christ or the period of time that comes before and after this holiday

21st Dec

Went to the SJAB Christmas party wanting to pass gifts to people but I ended up staying there instead. But it was fun and funny, played lots of games and Taboo was the most hilarious one hehehehe, burst out into laughing fits man.

A picture with the 1996 batch :)

Good night.

Christmas eve

Had a pre-Christmas dinner at MOF with only half of the familyyyyy.

Greaaaaaaaaat

Christmas

Started the day by going to my paternal family side for a Christmas lunch, oooooo I ate so much.

My granny cooked her signature turkey and ham dish, heavenly :)

Then played games with the cousins, mono deal and cluedo.

Was really clueless when I was playing Cluedo (oh the irony), but after a few rounds, I finally got the hang of it. Nice gameee.

After that, we went back home to rest. I slept for an hour, before waking up to get ready to go to my maternal family side.

HEEEHEEEE what a crazy night, we played silly games that required us to do stuff like singing, dancing and hugging etc.

Ah Ma and Ah Gong :)

Spectacular day! :')

Really thankful for all the wishes, presents and cards!

Boxing Day

Went out with cousins, sis and aunt for lunch at Marche.

The kids got 2 free tumblers and they gave one to me yay :)

And I love it because it is green and there's a green cow on it.

Went shopping before taking a tea breaaaaak. Ate macarons and pudding :)

:'))))))))))))

hongkong day one

I was contemplating whether to post about the trip at all, but knowing I'll definitely miss this trip in the future, let's go.

So, before embarking on this adventure, I have to admit, I was feeling really apprehensive about it. Maybe it's because I hardly knew anyone, or maybe it's because I thought it would not be fun at all. Whichever it was, I'm really glad that I was proved wrong. Because through this journey, I was able to know the rest better and also have a whopping good time. All while being able to learn new things and gain new insight :')

BUT I'M ALSO VERY LAZY, so I guess I'll just dump the photos and just give a short commentary for them.

This is my second trip to HK, the other time, I went with my family when I was in Sec 1, and I can barely remember what I did, except maybe riding the Peak Tram and visiting the Madame Tussauds museum and the Avenue of Stars. Ohhhh and eating the most delicious cold noodles ever in Tsim Sha Tsui. IT WAS DAMN GOOD. Ok that's about it.

DAY 1

Right, so 11pm, we gathered at Changi Airport with all our luggage, checked-in and got ready to board the plane.

We sat at Starbucks for awhile, just taking pictures and chatting.

Then we got on the plane, and I sat next to Stacy.

So for the next 4 hours, I ate and then slept.

The sandwich/burger(?) was daaaaaamn good I swear, I'm clueless as to what kind of meat is in it, but it tasted divine.

[hehehe with our pillows on the plane :)]

[Hong Kong International Airport]

First stop: Some residential area

[With the owner of the house]

She's so kind man, we sat at her place for awhile and she shared with us her experience in staying in her modest flat and also served us po lou bao and lemon tea.

Had lunch then we visited the next place: Hong Kong Museum Of History

It was just like any other museums, but some parts of it were quite interesting. For example, there were many old furniture, toys and food from the olden days of HK.

[Got to feel how sitting in a tram feels like]

[At the hotel]

The hotel was not bad man, it was only about 5 months old and they have pool tables, rows of Mac computers, Wii and stuff all free for the staying visitors to use ;)

Played pool during midnight and we kept laughing non-stop. I suck at it man but pool is funnnnn.

End of Day 1, I said I would be brief and it seems like I've achieved my goal heh.

There has to be an invisible sun that gives us hope when the whole day's done

Sunday

Went for the annual Zone 10 Presentation, this time round, it was held at a restaurant in Kallang Theatre

We tried to hold hands to create more "effect" but failed miserably hahaha

Toilet shots are always great :)

Trying to pose like Filipino maids(no offence intended)

Applause

After that, we went to Kallang Leisure Park with the intention to catch a movie. But the only movie available at that time was a Japanese film named "Midsummer's Equation". It was not bad I guess, just that sometimes the scenery in the movie seems so calm and beautiful that it possesses a hypnotic grip over you that lulls you to sleep.

On a different note, I have been reading lots of books these days, no, not the studying kind but more of storybooks.

Finished The Running Man and The Long Walk by Stephen King(written under his pseudonym, Richard Bachman) and they were goooooood omg. I absolutely love dystopian(and also utopian) novels ever since reading The Hunger Games trilogy at the beginning of 2012.

As I read more and more novels of that genre, I realised The Hunger Games is pure rubbish compared to classics like The Giver by Lois Lowry and 1984 by George Orwell.

Books are a blessing.

Made a plan to be someone. Mess it up when the moment comes.

Watched Frozen with Yiting and Jingyi yesterday :)

Then after that, we rushed down to Swee Choon to meet up with the rest :)

My virginnnnn trip to swee choon and it was such a good experience hehehe.

We kept shouting "omg get this! and get that! ehh order xiaolongbao!! LIU SHA BAO!!!" etc HAHAHA so lots of people were staring at us.

Ate like a pig, and there were leftovers still.

Then we walked about before going to Bugis.

Had starbucks, omg peppermint mocha rocks. Tried the toffee nut one in Hong Kong and it tasted ordinary.

Awesome day with great people :)

the clanking of crystal, explosions off in the distance

Yet even in certain defeat, the courageous Trager secretly clung to the belief that life is not merely a series of meaningless accidents or coincidences. Uh-uh. But rather, its a tapestry of events that culminate in an exquisite, sublime plan.

When you're still waiting for the snow to fall, it doesn't really feel like Christmas at all

Alrighttttt, I am now Ms No More $$$ Liao.

It's crazy man, these few weeks I've already spent more than $700 of my own money(I try not to get money from my old guys because I feel really guilty)

Urghhhhhhhhh need to stop buying shit that I won't use, like recently, I bought a damn ukelele, with a tuner and everything, so I just started strumming a little(for 15mins only) and ever since, it has been sitting in the corner of my room.

Anyway, Christmas is coming :')

The best festival of them all yippeeeeee, the food, the warmth, the joy in the air.

I can't wait.

Finally bought the card :')

Don't tell me our youth is running out, it's only just begun

Wednesday

Went back to school for floorball training, ooof, I'm really getting unfit, my stamina is plunging ):

Anyway, right after that, I had to rush home to bathe, pack and leave to join s14 at the chalet

Reached at about 7pm, then we started eating BBQ food while listening to music, and we talked and talked and Vania also played the guitar.

Love the laid back-ness of it all :)

Then at around midnight, we left the chalet for the bowling alley omggg HAHAHA

It was CRAZY, we were screaming at the top of our lungs

Each time someone bowled, we would yell the names of their love interests before proceeding to cheer loudly.

Then around 2am, we went back, ate supper and started our 'gambling den' heheh

Some of them went to sleep while we played bridge, taiti, asshole taiti, snap jack, indian poker all the way till about 5.30am

At that moment, I had already lost my voice and was on the edge of being knocked out, so Esther, Bryan, Randall and I shared the bed and we just slept.

Daaaaamn shiok, slept for 3 hours from 6am to 9am :)

After waking up, went to bathe and then we had to check out.

We made our way to Macs for breakfast ;)

Then we bade goodbye to each to other.

Had such a marvelous and fun time with S14♥ :')

Friday

Had training again, this time round, it was wayyy more physically demanding but also lots of fun :)

Played matches in the hall and also had lots of PT.

Satisfying :)

Tuesday, 3 December 2013

You get to me, you give me that smile and I'm somewhere, somewhere sunny and 75

Monday

Met up with my dearest 垃圾 Cheryl to do the post Hong Kong trip blogging.

We camped at Starbucks for 3 hours typing away(and also getting very distracted hahaha)

We kept talking about the trip and some other stuff like PET SOCIETY omg our fav game during the lower sec years.

HAAHAHHA I used to log in to Facebook every day during sec 1-2 just to play Pet Society, Restaurant City and Country Story. And I would visit all of my friends so that I could get the free coins HAHA. Then Emily and I would be chatting on MSN about the ingredients to trade with each other oh gosh hahaha.

And the blog's already up!

Thursday

Went out with the Hong Kong trip gang to catch Catching Fire :)

Before that, we had lunch at Hot Tomato mmmmmmm

We were insanely famished man, and we gossiped about people from TPJ throughout our meal heheheheh :)

And the movie's great, made me feel like rereading the entire THG series again.

Friday

Went to River Safari and the zoo with my aunt and 2 cousins :)

KAIKAI AND JIAJIA ARE SO CUTE. I could just stare at them all day, especially when they're munching on bamboo stalks.

I WISH I COULD HUG THEM.

Felt like a kid when I was in the zoo. There was this area where we could feed the goats with leaves and stalks and we just hovered around that area for close to an hour!

The air had this pungent and unpleasant smell of goat poop but the goats were so adorable :')

Ended the day with some Jap food >:)

Saturday

Met up with dear Peizhen for dinner at Astons before heading to HQ :)

After that, sat in the hall for close to three hours listening to the Standard Chartered Marathon 2013 First Aid Duty briefing. I was battling to keep my eyelids opened man )':

Then at around midnight, we proceeded to the zone room to 'sleep'

Laid on the cold, hard floor for the next 2 hours, tossing and turning, before we all woke up at around 2am.

Set off to our designated destinations in an ambulance :)

This time round it was completely different from the water duty I did two years back.

Anyway, I was assigned 2 juniors - a sec 3 from Catholic High and a sec 1 from GESS for the First Aid Duty.

I stood there for 6 hours with them, dispensing plasters and deep heat rub while listening to the walkie talkie.

But many funny things happened hahahaha, shall not go into details.

The only "action" we got was from a woman who had an abrasion.

We washed and dressed her wound and she was good to go.

Then we started getting very bizarre requests for scissors and nail clippers.

A man started cutting his fringe with the scissors because he told us his fringe was "getting in the way"

And a woman began cutting her toenails at our first aid post(we were all trying to control our laughter really badly)

It's kind of calming to witness people running. Listening to the soft pattering of their shoes against the asphalt road and the sound of the runners panting, and feeling the occasional breeze sending slight chills to your body.

Enjoyed it thoroughly ;)

Really thankful for the little ones, they were obedient and made good company :')

The whole thing lasted for about 11 hours.

The first thing I did when I reached home was to bathe and then spend some quality time with my darling bed.
